Welcome to Townley Grammar School, a girls' school with a co-ed sixth form that is academically demanding and committed to social responsibility.
Students should be motivated by their education to cherish studying for its own reason, to enjoy the quest for knowledge and the battle to comprehend.
Townley pupils learn in a dynamic setting where educators know how to push kids and where the variety of extracurricular activities is broad and varied.
We received the London Excellence in Music Award, were given the highest honour at the DfE Character Awards, and the most recent Ofsted evaluation grades us as exceptional.
Success requires perseverance, hard effort, dedication, and the fostering of a work ethic.
We refer to this as the Scholastic Endeavour, and all of our pupils are encouraged to participate in intellectual studies.
It is, in essence, the ability to be inspired to reach your full potential.
The Greek word ambit, which means "wingspan," is the source of the word's original meaning, which Townley students learn.
Our girls are ready to soar, seizing chances and taking charge of the environments they encounter.
With an emphasis on service, leadership, and character education, Townley students graduate from our programme well prepared for the challenges of the twenty-first century.
We proudly develop intellectually interested, self-motivated, and enthusiastic young women and we are happy to put the welfare of our girls on an equal level with their academic successes.
We provide students a thorough leadership education that helps them develop their public speaking skills, understand leadership styles, and acquire confidence.
Townley encourages intellectual mobility by giving pupils the freedom to think for themselves and apply what they learn in the classroom to the outside world.
The girls acquire the skills of questioning, challenging, and listening to different points of view.
