A devoted team works hard to make sure that every child feels safe and content at school. We are a one-form entrance primary school with an excellent childcare. As a student at St. Martin's, we firmly believe that this is the best possible start for any kid. Our school's motto, "Learning to love, loving to learn," reflects this. St Martin's School had its humble beginnings as a small boys' school in St Martin's Street, Brighton, perhaps in the 1870s. It had expanded and started to accept females by 1884. As the neighbourhood expanded, it became clear that a new location for the school was required in order to offer a top-notch Church of England education using cutting-edge tools. The school moved into its present location on Hartington Road in September 1988. It's a village school at the centre of the community, as a recent visitor to our school observed after being given a tour by some of our keen Year 6 students. We concur.
