Essex's Purleigh Primary School is located in the Purleigh settlement, which lies south of the Blackwater Estuary. Three and four miles from the school, respectively, are the towns of Maldon and South Woodham Ferrers, as well as a number of smaller villages. These villages make up the area with priority admission for the school. Classes range in size from thirty to thirty-four, and are separated into seven separate year groups. The school now has 215 students enrolled, demonstrating its popularity. We underwent an Ofsted inspection in November 2012 and received an overall rating of "excellent." We received great ratings for student achievement, teaching quality, student behaviour and safety, leadership and management quality, and overall effectiveness. The school has developed after this inspection and is now a part of The Eveleigh LINK Academy Trust. In math and English, students consistently achieve outcomes that are considerably above the national average. In 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 we achieved greater than the national average for pupils meeting the required standard in reading, writing and maths combined at key Stage 1 and key Stage 2. Parents appreciate sending their kids to Purleigh Primary School because it is a cheerful village institution. Many families travel a great distance to send their children to this well-liked school because of its positive atmosphere. I am incredibly happy to be Purleigh Primary School's Executive Headteacher and genuinely enjoy working with the students, parents, governors, and staff. If you would like a tour of the school, I would be delighted to take you around our magnificent campus and outstanding institution. We sincerely hope you enjoy browsing our website and discover any information you're looking for. Please feel free to contact the school direct with any queries you may have.
