From the Malet Lambert
Malet Lambert was founded in 1932 and has a storied past. It was once a grammar school but changed to a community comprehensive school in 1968, and more than 50 years later, it still lives up to the word's definition. I am incredibly proud to be in charge of this ambitious school's daily operations after teaching at numerous schools and serving on the senior leadership team at others as well. I started at Malet Lambert in 2014 as a deputy headteacher before taking over as head of school in 2016. As a result, I am well acquainted with our students, staff, and community. We place the needs of individual students at the centre of everything we do, from our extensive transition process in Year 6 to the close mentorship and support for our students sitting public examinations in Year 11. At Malet Lambert, we take great satisfaction in having lofty goals. By establishing a secure yet lively learning environment that features top-notch instruction and learning every single day, these will make sure that all of our students reach their potential. Here at Malet Lambert, we are extremely lucky to have a group of teachers, support staff, and governors that are so kind, knowledgeable, and committed to the students. Our 2016 membership in The Education Alliance (TEAL), which has allowed us to collaborate with other effective schools, has only strengthened the support for our students. We received a "Good" rating from Ofsted in 2018 under the revised standards, and we also became the only school in the area to receive the Inclusion Quality Mark. Please feel free to visit us after browsing our website and reading our prospectus so we can show you first-hand what we have to offer the students of this lovely town.
