From the Leigh Central Primary School
In the centre of Leigh's town centre, there is a special and varied community school called Leigh Central Primary.
We were fortunate enough to move into our fantastic new school building in October 2009 and our children benefit greatly from our state of the art technology and purpose built facilities.
Our Leigh Central Children's Centre, which provides excellent opportunities for kids under five and their families, shares our facility with us.
In all areas of our provision, our school was deemed "excellent" by OFSTED in June 2012.
As a school, we regularly evaluate our procedures in an effort to provide the finest learning experiences and possibilities for our students.
Our Leigh Central Values serve as the foundation for everything we do and guide the kids' social and personal growth.
We think that by preparing our kids for life after school, we are ensuring that they will not only have the knowledge and abilities to compete in the job market, but also the character traits and morals that will enable them to contribute positively to society.
We make sure that we work closely with our families because we feel that parents and other carers are crucial to a child's education.
"All parents and carers feel that their children are properly taught, and that the school helps them support their children's learning," according to OFSTED's findings.
