9 or 8 or A* made up 10% of all GCSE results. 20.1% of GCSE scores were A* and A or grades 7 to 9. 55.4 percent of GCSE grades ranged from 5 to 9 or from A* to B. The Year 13 A-level results were excellent: 61% of the grades were A* to C, and 37.5% were A* to B. I recently received the UCAS report on the university destinations of our Year 13 students: 26 pupils have been accepted to Russell Group universities, and 134 Haydon School students are eager to begin their studies there at the end of September.
All of our students are expected to put in a lot of effort and conduct themselves honourably.
All of our students are expected to uphold a specific set of principles, and there is a robust extracurricular programme in place to help pupils do just that.
Our Duke of Edinburgh programme, which offers the training at all levels, is also thriving.
A total of 168 students registered for their Bronze, Silver, or Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award during this academic year.
We go out of our way to provide kids a variety of extracurricular activities.
Our students have had the chance to perform at both The New Vic in Waterloo and the Royal Shakespeare Company because to our connections with both organisations.
Haydon has excellent equipment.
A new Performing Arts Block, new Science Laboratories, a new Art & Design building, and the Sixth Form Common Room have all been provided as a result of recent construction and renovation projects totaling over $10 million.
In addition to offering a first-rate new sports facility, the $2 million creation of the new Activity Center, which joined the Dobson and St. Mary's buildings, was finished in December 2014.

most horrific school experience of my life - would never in a million years want my child to grow up in an environment like this. this is a breeding ground for evil people
Haydon school is an excellent school. As the parent of two students who both went there and got excellent results, going onto top university courses. Staff care for every student and always go the extra mile. The school is very inclusive and the atmosphere is friendly and positive. I would recommend it strongly.
It's too big now. Pupils aren't managed especially well. The SEN department is old-fashioned and not especially supportive. The headmaster doesn't command much respect among many of the pupils - they refer to him disparagingly as 'the litter picker' because of his focus on littering. Secondary schools need to be smaller, not ever-increasingly bigger, as this kind of crowd-control teaching does no favours to the young people they're trying to shape and educate to be...
