From the Woodcroft School
The institution, a family-owned independent special school registered with and certified by Ofsted, first opened its doors in 1963.
We are authorised to accept students up to the age of 13 as a primary day school with a Key Stage 3 transition group.
In order to provide a comprehensive, well-balanced, and timely curriculum, as well as practical support and care, we collaborate with parents and local authorities.
In order to accommodate its students' requirements, Woodcroft School is adaptable.
Wherever necessary, we offer a high staff to pupil ratio, regardless of whether a child needs additional support in a regular classroom or is more likely to succeed in a special education setting.
Woodcroft seeks to prepare students for further education within their local government by providing them with intense counselling and support.
Some students may also be eligible for transition help connected to a mainstream school and dual placement, when they remain enrolled at two schools.
The philosophy of Woodcroft is built on prioritising the needs of its students.
Our strategy is child-centered and practical, offering adaptability to meet the needs of students and integrate with local government services.
Children should be treated with respect and dignity and should have equal access to opportunities, in our opinion.
We think that treating students well will increase their self-esteem.
