From the Ingleby Manor Free School & Sixth Form
A relatively recent secondary school (11–16) with 600 seats and a 150-seat sixth form, Ingleby Manor Free School and Sixth Form is situated in Ingleby Barwick, Stockton-On-Tees. After a protracted, fruitful struggle by locals and parents for a second, desperately needed secondary school in the town, the school finally opened its doors in September 2014. It was created as a result of the government's free school initiative. While Delta Academies Trust is our educational partner, Ingleby Manor Foundation Trust (IMFT) is the original resident and community organisation that founded the school. The school is free to attend, much like every other state school in the UK. The school grew every year after starting off with only year 7 in 2014–15. Students in Year 11 finished their first round of GCSE exams in 2019.
