I have worked with kids for more than 15 years, and I am a level 3 forest school leader.
In addition to working in education and summer camps, I have expertise leading group excursions abroad and have been the owner of Wonderwood's sister firm Buttons Parties for seven years.
I founded Wonderwood in order to provide as many kids as I could the wonder of playing outside in the midst of nature.
I can still clearly and joyfully recall the days I spent playing outside, climbing trees, getting dirty, and inventing things. I want to help her two-year-old daughter and other kids make those same kinds of memories.
Together with my wonderful mother Jill, I oversee the forest school clubs.
Through experiential learning in a natural setting, Forest School provides a motivating setting for kids to grow in confidence and self-esteem.
At FS, I encourage the kids to explore within the lines drawn and to take calculated chances. I also recognise that every kid is unique, so we make sure to support their ongoing education and give them the tools they require based on their interests.
The Wonderwood Explorers will have the chance to build dens, learn how to light fires and prepare food in the wild, get crafty with woodland activities, play games, mess around in mud kitchens, jump in puddles, build insect hotels, go on bug hunts, learn about flora and fauna, experience the seasons, gather treasures, and engage in sensory activities.
