The pre-school reaches out to the larger neighbourhood; on Tuesdays, when the elderly eat lunch at the church, we regularly sing to them. We also ask representatives of the community to explain and discuss their roles with us, such as visits from police, veterinarians, and doctors. Other guests are welcome to share their cultural experiences with us, such as Welsh costumed ladies celebrating St. David's Day with us. We also welcomed a woman who spoke to us and brought two of her hens, which the kids loved very much.
Each member of the Pre-School team is trained and has prior experience working with kids. Angie, the manager of the preschool, is a certified teacher. All employees frequently participate in pertinent training sessions, such as Paediatric First Aid and Child Protection. Every employee has had their DBS enhanced (previously known as CRB). 1:8 is the staff-to-child ratio.
Clean up and hand washing are next, followed by a fruit snack, milk or water time, and a prayer of gratitude.
Construction, board games, cooking, gardening, and floor-level activities are all included in the afternoon session.
Each lesson has been planned to provide kids with a variety of chances and engaging activities. There are appropriate times for them to make their own decisions and appropriate times for them to follow an adult's guidance. There are also appropriate times for them to play with others and appropriate moments for them to play by themselves. All of these lessons assist your child's independence and social skills continue to grow, and they will support their transition from preschool to school.
