In order to address concerns of educational inequality in South London, the Southwark Diocese Board of Education and the London Borough of Lewisham established the St. James Family Learning Center in New Cross in the year 2000. Since then, we have provided high-quality early education and family learning activities to help hundreds of families improve their prospects in life. Over the years, we have collaborated with Children's Centers, neighbourhood schools, and other non-profit organisations to offer programmes that foster a love of learning and lasting skills.
Today, we are known as New Cross & Deptford Families First, and we are a limited company that is not for profit (Company No. 07645531). Additionally, St. James and New Cross Gateway Trust is a registered charity (reg charity no. 1143836). Ofsted is a regulatory body that oversees and registers our nursery (registration number is EY493086).
Through the provision of a secure environment and access to educational, social, and emotional growth-promoting activities, we continue to offer services to support parents and children. We are dedicated to offering families top-notch play opportunities that create the framework for lifelong learning. We are aware of the various demands of our families and how to interact with them to produce beneficial results.
