Parent volunteers serve on the management committee at Little Swans Pre-school. The preschool, which had its initial registration in 1997, relocated to its current home in Dawlish in January 2006 and is housed on the premises of Westcliff School. Two large playrooms with adjoining kitchens, a small library that can be utilised as a quiet space, an outdoor play area, and restrooms are among the amenities. The setting has a stepped entrance for people with disabilities.
Children between the ages of 2 and 5 are eligible for enrollment at the pre-school. Children who have particular educational requirements, disabilities, or who speak English as a second language are supported by the preschool. During academic terms, it is open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 3 pm.
There are now eleven employees, all of whom have the necessary qualifications. On the Early Years Register, the setting is listed. The early years advisory teacher and the pre-school staff collaborate extensively, and the pre-school has excellent relationships with Westcliff and Gatehouse primary schools.
During our most recent Ofsted inspection in February 2020, we received a Good overall rating. You may read the Report here.
