There are currently very few openings for the academic year 2021–2022. There are no more FEET-funded spots available, but we do have a waiting list; if this applies to you, please stop by and talk to us. At Christ Church Pre-School Playgroup, our goal is to provide children younger than the statutory school age with high-quality care and education in a fun, laid-back, yet structured environment where they can get used to being away from their parents, learn to play with others, and take their place as group members. In order to support children's learning and development, we collaborate with parents, and the support we give to kids and their families fosters variety and cherishes equality. We think that play is the foundation of young children's education. The kids are given access to a wide variety of engaging and stimulating activities that, in our opinion, will foster their sense of self-worth, independence, and creativity as well as their capacity for observation, enjoyment, and understanding of their surroundings. The manager successfully assesses the setting and works closely with her staff team to make improvements, according to a recent Ofsted inspection statement. For instance, they have solid relationships with the neighbourhood preschools and schools. Children are well-prepared by the staff to successfully advance to the following learning stage. Children become very independent individuals who have a passion for learning. Brian and Pauline West established the company in the Christ Church hall on Waterden Road in 1972. 2020 saw the relocation of our Preschool Playgroup to The Spike Centre on Warren Road. Children of all faiths are welcome in our preschool playgroup because we are non-denominational.
