Since 1874, the school has a long tradition of giving girls an exceptional education.
When Croydon High School first opened its doors in September 1874, there were 88 students enrolled under Miss Dorinda Neligan.
The Second World War had just started when Miss Adams arrived to take over the school's administration.
The Duchess of Gloucester lay the cornerstone on October 21, 1964, with the blessing of the Archbishop of Canterbury, and the school opened in September 1966 on its new, picturesque, and green site in Selsdon.
The Junior School is currently undergoing a complete renovation to create a learning environment that the girls themselves contributed to design.
